Configuring your PC Client with WINS on Windows 10
Here are the steps for configuring your PC client for use with WINS on Windows 10.
To configure your client for use with WINS, follow these steps:
- Click the Startbutton to open the Start menu.
- Select Control Panel.
- Click Network and Internet.
- Click Network and Sharing Center.
- Click View status.
- Click Properties.
- Select Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IP 4)or Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IP 6)
- Click Properties.
- Click Advanced.
- Select the WINS
- Specify the WINS server IP addresses in the correct search order.
- Click OK.
